Odds and Ends Wednesday 12th April 2023 – Same Shit Different Day

The new SNP is just the same as the old SNP – You know most of us tend to learn from our mistakes, or the mistakes of others, just when you thought there might be a slither of hope for the British SNP they revert back to the same old shite.

HUMZA Yousaf has promoted the wife of his minister for independence in a shake-up of SNP headquarters, risking accusations of cronyism and poor governance. (The Herald)

Useless has also appointed Sue Ruddick, yes her of Alex Salmond inquiry fame, is now acting CEO. So the so-called new start is nothing of the sort at all, just the same people who have failed at every turn being promoted to jobs that their past demonstrates that they are possibly not fit to have in the first place, just keep going Useless, you might actually finish the SNP before the year is out, you just can’t make up this shit can you anymore.

Just keep digging that hole deeper – Humza Yousaf’s government has confirmed it will launch court action to appeal UK ministers blocking the gender recognition reforms. It will lose end of, and it will waste more millions on top of the billions that Super Sturgeon managed to waste in 8 years. We are governed by idiots, the Tories are going to change the Equalities Act to make it even harder for transgender people as a result of the stupidity of the SNP Government at Holyrood but hey ho what is a few million here or there.

I don’t like Westminster interfering in decisions made by the Scottish Government, when we make a mess as GRR we need to sort it out ourselves, but I also believe we need to fight battles we can win, and we need to treat every pound as a prisoner. The additional fact that the majority of Scots are against GRR in its current form should also send a clear message to the deluded in the Scottish Government, but obviously not. Just when I was starting to have a little hope these clowns just make me want to see the end of the SNP as soon as possible and of useless as First Minter.

The bill to allow 16-year-olds to change their sex by declaration without any medical intervention (self-ID) is opposed by two-thirds of Scottish voters. According to Panelbase, only 20 per cent of Scots think the new First Minister should proceed with his legal challenge to the section 35 order under which the GRR Bill was blocked. (The Spectator)

Couldn’t agree more – Cherry compared the case of the former party chief executive and Nicola Sturgeon’s husband to MSP Michelle Thomson, who was suspended in 2015 over a police investigation. The hypocrisy of the SNP is staggering isn’t it, the theme today is the same shit different day when it comes to this joke of a party. Joanna Cherry said it is “remarkable” Peter Murrell’s SNP membership has not been suspended and said his treatment had been “very different” to other members of the party. Likewise, why has Sturgeon still got the party whip as an MSP?

If your face fits in the SNP you can pretty much do what you want, if your face doesn’t fit or you don’t bow low enough you are pretty much screwed and lose your membership. Yousaf has talked about the challenges the SNP are currently facing, well if this is your start to leadership it is going to get worse until there is no party left worth saving.

It’s not the recent troubles that are forcing people to leave the SNP it is the previous eight years of the Sturgeon – SNP activists are quitting the party in their droves after dramatic police raids on Nicola Sturgeon’s home and the arrest of her husband, senior nationalists fear, as Kate Forbes pleaded with members not to walk away. (The Telegraph)

The simple fact remains the lack of movement and action on independence, whether this is for the near or long game, is the main reason people are leaving the British SNP. Kate Forbes writes “As gale-force winds batter the ship, this is a call for all hands on deck,” she said. “If you are a party member thinking of resigning, please don’t. “If you’re scunnered at what’s unfolding, please stay. If you’ve recently left the party, as 50,000 people reportedly have in recent years, think of re-joining. “This party’s historic success was secured by ordinary members doing extraordinary things in every part of the country. “And the most extraordinary thing of them all must be to win independence. To do that, we need you.”

Too little, too late, is the mantra of the SNP and especially under Sturgeon. I have no sympathy for the party now that they are getting desperate, we do need a political vehicle but it is not the SNP that is for sure. As I said earlier I had a slither of hope but the last 24 hours have shown that there is none, this party needs to be ended.

As I have been saying don’t write off the scumbag Tories just yet –

Slowly but surely the Tories are starting to recover, I am not saying they are going to win the next General Election but they are not going to lose as badly as people think. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak receives a net approval rating of -8%, Labour leader Keir Starmer’s net approval rating stands at +8%, not a huge difference at all with 18 months to go.

I have been arguing for ages that I just do not believe that voters in England seriously want to elect Starmer and the Red Tories when they can have the real thing.

Keir Starmer (39%, +1) leads Rishi Sunak (37%, +2) by two points on who would be the better Prime Minister at this moment, his narrowest lead since 20 January.

Starmer is a liar and a clown, any sort of economic recovery, even a tiny one will kill off Labour pretty much under Starmer, the man is as useless as our own useless. Scottish voters beware.
