Why not go the whole way

How long until the unionist takeover is complete – and the name of the party is changed. We know that Sturgeon didn’t like the National in Scottish National Party and the first small step could be about to take place in finally getting the National out of the party, the takeover will be complete.

Members will be asked to back a proposal to rename the Association of Nationalist Councillors (ANC).

Councillors are said to have previously been balloted on the change and backed the new name the Association of SNP Councillors.

Many within the SNP feel uncomfortable with the nationalist label and the party is frequently and erroneously referred to as the “Scottish Nationalist Party”, most notably by former Prime Minister Boris Johnson. (The National).

To be honest I always found it funny when Johnson did that as I knew that the SNP at Westminster were as unionist as Johnson was, maybe more so. Maybe we should think of a new name for the party?

Association of Scottish Carott Danglers Party

Scottish Unionist and Colonised Party

The 1707 Quisling Party

The Colonised Party of Scotland

The Real Scottish Labour Party

The Tartan Tory Party

The Yes Mibee Na Yir Aright Party

Seriously though what are the SNP for anymore.

Some good efforts there on new monikers for the political entity formerly known as the Scottish National Party.

    My suggestions include:

    Scottish Insipid Party (SIP)
Gutless Impostor and Miscreant Party (GIMP)
    Piss Poor Party (PPP)

It won’t be long until Thursday, finger crossed the party loses and loses big. Hopefully a change in name will make whatever they call there new party UN-electable.

I see WoS has posted the result, a very low turn out, a British colonial Labour win, SNP wipe out, all as expected. If this is not the wake up call to the carott danglers then nothing ever will. I will have to look at the detail of the vote to see how ISP did but I would imagine they didn’t really make an inpact sadly.

      Thanks for commenting.
