Wings and the New Media Bloggers owed an apology from the faithfull

Wings Over Scotland wasn’t wrong was he, Barrhead Boy wasn’t wrong, Yours for Scotland wasn’t wrong, Grouse Beater wasn’t wrong, Random Public Journal wasn’t wrong and even Grumpy wasn’t wrong. It appears that justice might be stirring as Wings wrote back in April. Nicola Sturgeon in June 2017 said the money raised for indy2 was ringfenced, that is what she said and was reported by STV as Stuart Campbell reported. Well in the article today it would appear that this was not the case at all now that the Police have widened their investigation, an investigation that John Swinney has said “Police Scotland is not investigating the SNP’s finances following an MP in charge of the party’s accounts quitting”. Certain people have been very economical with the true facts regarding this missing money, Nicola Sturgeon it would appear has been a bit confused, John Swinney is a bit confused as well.

It appears now that Peter Murrell may be interviewed by Police Scotland according to the Mail regarding emails he sent asking for donations to the fund that now appears to have been spent on other things, but surely that can’t be true given everything we were told about this money. The SNP would never mis-lead the voters would they, both votes SNP will lead to another referendum, ring fenced money will pay for it, all will be well, vote Nicola for President. Police Scotland have said that they continue to assess a complaint of alleged financial irregularity. “During this initial work further information has been received which also requires to be assessed to determine if an investigation is required” When the Police look into something, and please excuse me for being a bit thick, but that would actually be called an investigation which means to search out and examine the particulars of or in an attempt to learn the facts about something hidden, unique, or complex, especially in an attempt to find a motive, cause, or culprit.

New media, who are doing their level best with limited resources and no legal support, continue to try to hold Government to account and to further the cause of Scottish Independence and face abuse every day, as well as, SNP Policy that makes it dangerous to hold an opinion in Scotland on anything that is a favoured SNP policy. I think a few people are owed an apology today but we know that won’t happen, the faithful will continue to bow at the alter of President Nicola as Scotland continues to struggle to get out of this pandemic due to the Scottish Government’s handling of it and with the extension of powers of lock down possibly being extended to 2022 you have to wonder, what else don’t the Scottish Government want voters to be looking into or learning about.

Looks like it, it appears the media, now that the union is safe under Sturgeon, are now happy to have a wee look at them. Sturgeon totally suckered by the British or maybe she is just British all the way.

  2. Absolutely 100% spot on grumpy. The house of cards is looking very shaky at the moment and together with the recent concerns regarding Sturgeon and Stonewall, I hope the Murrels tenure at the head of what was once the party of independence is speedily coming to an end.
The one thing I worry about is the possibility that as the last gasp she might initiate a move towards a referendum and that would be a disaster.

    • Bob

I would not put anything past her to be honest, if she thinks it’s over for her she will go out swinging and do as much damage as she can to those who she will feel wronged her. She might just call a referendum but in a way that traps Scotland in the UK or agreeing to a process that we can’t win, she is a horrible excuse for a human being as her actions the last two years have shown all but the faithful.

I don’t agree. She will run when she realises the ‘game is up the pole’ but she will sacrifice anyone first and that includes her hubby. Once he goes she knows she will be next. That is when fearty MP’s and MP’s will sacrifice her to save themselves.

I’m positive I made two donation to both these Independence funds so I contacted the SNP and I’ve received one donation back and its been paid into my account and the other donation the SNP has it has no record of it, this Jim in the SNP said he couldn’t find it. When you have a party willing to lie about anything then to be honest their not worth voting for, all of people who criticized Mr Salmond in order to protect Saint Nicola how they have got it wrong because whatever you say he left the SNP flying high with donors and membership at its highest its ever been and members and delegates where happy to be part of the SNP you couldn’t say that now and money was flowing into the party. If Mr Salmond was leader of the SNP today Scotland would be Independence and in talks about joining the EU. Does anyone really know what the SNP stand for apart from transgender rights. I was listen to Nicola mcEwen in the link below in case anyone want to watch but she said the UK is formed by consent and Scotland can leave if it wants.

Sturgeon has made a total arse of it, and I would not be surprised if her vindictiveness leads to her scuppering indy or calling a referendum but with terms that we can’t win on, nothing would surprise me with Sturgeon anymore. She is not right in the faculties department or her husband, they have destroyed the SNP and only the Labour entryists will be left soon if this all pans out. What a legacy to destroy that Alex Salmond left her.

  4. DS says:

The article quotes a Police Scotland spokesman “We continue to assess a complaint of alleged financial irregularity. During this initial work further information has been received which also requires to be assessed to determine if an investigation is required.”
This implies that the police make a distinction between assessing the complaint and a formal investigation so despite the common or garden definition of “investigate” John Swinney’s statement does hold up. Having said that, I cannot help wondering if the police statement was deliberately worded so as not to contradict Swinney.

    • DS

I totally get what you are saying and I was being a bit of a devil with Swinney but I also suspect that given what we know of the recent actions of the Courts and the Police can we trust them to be fair and not be playing politics. I am not so sure I do anymore and that is really sad to be honest, we should not be living in fear to express an opinion in Scotland and that lays firmly at the feet of Nicola Sturgeon.

  5. There is an old saying, when ye smell a rat <*)~ there usually is one, time to set the rat traps me thinks <*)~
I am just disgusted what has been going on in SNP and the constant attacks on bloggers,to silence them.I hope everything comes to the light sooner than later.good article~

    • Angela

Some people sometimes think the truth always comes out but I am not sure in the UK. The UK is built on a lie and the British are the very best at it and most horrible countries learned from the British it’s just disgusting that the SNP are now going down the same road. New media is trying to do its best but it is clear there are many in the yes movement who just want to shut it down because they don’t like the truth or an alternative opinion on the situation we find ourselves in under the dictatorship of Sturgeon.

  6. Anonymous says:

Why is nobody looking into the tax payer fraud to her favourite charity stonewall?

    • Anon

Governments fund charities so it is not fraud but when it is an organisation that is so contentious and the fact that most of the public don’t know then you have to be concerned when measures are taken to shut down the debate, that is not a democracy that is a dictatorship.

  7. Marilyn Sinclair says:

Is it an Investigation by the police if so when will the outcome be known.
I tend to wait until the axe falls before I pronounce death.

    • Marilyn

I’m not pronouncing death just highlighting that what was in fact said at the start regarding this money has turned out to be different now as more information comes out and many people, mainly bloggers, were saying that none of what the SNP were saying made sense and they got a lot of abuse for that opinion, none more so than Stuart Campbell. I hope that whatever comes of it at the very least the truth comes out. No one is accusing anyone of any crimes only that it would appear that donors may have been misled.

  8. Step21 says:

Essentially it’s an issue of trust.

Instead of being transparent about spending the money years ago they invented the “woven into the accounts” narrative to explain it away. In order to maintain this fiction the CEO blocks the audit committee and treasurer from access to information required to fulfill their remit. Sturgeon defends the position by stating that the money is not missing in a TV interview. In an abrupt about turn suddenly donors who ask for refunds now get them in a next day service again to maintain the fiction.

The question of criminality is not yet established but the reckless approach to party governance seen here and on other occasions is shocking. When reports of the NEC are leaked they are more concerned about the identity of the leaker than the lack of adherence to proper governance that is exposed.

If they run their own party in such a manner we can confidently assume that the culture of secrecy,
intimidation, recklessness and false narrative spinning are endemic in the operation of the Scottish government. The Salmond judicial review shows this behaviour exists and they have no qualms about breaking the law to achieve their goals.

Any government run that way needs to be held to account. It doesn’t matter what flavour of government is doing it. That it’s a government elected on an independence mandate is all the more depressing and shamefull.

    • Step21

Don’t disagree with your assessment at all, they have made a real mess of this due to poor management, fear of the unionist media, and poor policy with a vendetta thrown in and it is all catching up with them now. The sooner the both are gone the better, it will leave the SNP infected with entryists from Labour but at least those two will be gone. Either way Alba will have my vote or ISP if there is no Alba candidate, I am finished with the SNP.

  9. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

    Politicians are like diapers.
Must be changed regularly, for the same reason.

Power always attracts the wrong people to it.

Sadly, there is nothing we can do to fix the above.
The best option we have is to push forward, accelerate events, so if the putrescent boil must pop, it’s sooner rather than later.
