The position of the UK is clear on day one even before the election has finished, NO SECTION 30 ORDER AND NO REFERENDUM IN A GENERATION 50+ YEARS. Over the next few days we are clearly going to find out if the SNP have lied to us once again and are going to waste another mandate.

We won’t know the answer for years because Sturgeon is not going to ask the questions, she won’t even look at it until she is forced to and my money will be 2024 at best and it will be couched in another mandate for Westminster, she is playing both votes SNP voters for mugs and I feel sorry for some of them, they are in for a mighty let down very soon. I changed the headlines for a bit of fun, hope they made people have a wee chuckle.

    Headlines brought a smile. 🙂

Alba, as it turns out, has been crucial despite not winning any seats. The SNP+Green popular vote is 49%, Add Alba, 51%. Despite the misinformation already being put about on BBC etc. But these are Curtice’s figures and you can’t argue with God.

Had the million (not actually added them up yet) SNP list votes been used the way the Unionists were tactically voting, we would have a super-majority. But water under the bridge now. Alba needs to continue and keep reminding Sturgeon of her speech today. The COVID recovery can only be carried out effectively in an independent Scotland. So the referendum has to happen before we enter the recovery period. Legislation needs to be started by the end of the month to meet this timetable.

The rest is easy, we will join EFTA immediately (possibly full EU membership later) so the border and trade stuff is already decided as EU rules would apply, Currency is one of the easiest issues, as I’ve said before.

Job done with this election, no barriers remain and the positive case for independence is already obvious, Bring it on and if NS balks (likely) Alba need to be there. If we lose the argument and the subsequent referendum then Scottish residents will have chosen. Better that than a decade of uncertainty. Lack of confidence and at faint heart has never won anything.

Sorry forgot to add that not only does Wee Wullie look a complete clown (again) following his speech yesterday, that politicians need to listen to the electorate, but now the LDs are no longer a group, having fallen below the 5 MSP threshold, they should lose their FMQ slot and automatic participation in leadership debates; question time etc. We should now start seeing parity on TV. SNP and Green vs Tory and Labour. Not holding my breath though although I am fed up with BBC coverage of 4 political pundits, Tory, Lab and LD against the SNP. So despite the Indy majority you are presented with a 3/4 anti-indy message. Maybe this can be challenged more effectively from now on.

Yesterday was just a disappointing day all around which I talk about in my latest post this morning. I am not giving up on independence but yesterday hammered home that part of the problem is the SNP and it is a big problem but onwards and upwards as they say. I don’t expect a referendum anytime soon, just not going to happen. The SNP will drag it out for as long as they can, then Westminster will do the same, then it will go to Court, we will probably lose and have to take our independence back which we should have done by now anyway. Alba so far are saying they will continue and I hope for all our sakes they do, those of us not in the Nicola trans cult need a place to go and they can call what they want as I experienced yesterday in my biggest day of piles Ons ever but it just showed me I was right.
