Talking Pish and Russians ( A Euan McColm article).

I sadly read an article by Euan McColm, alleged journalist, in the Hootsmon (The Scotsman) this morning. It’s a classic SNP Bad but really SNP Good when they support Unionist lies article and full of his usual pish.

McColm is having a go at former SNP Leader Alex Salmond and his show which airs on RT News. There are a few gems in the attack that made me chuckle like,

Salmond was preparing for the latest edition of his weekly political chat show on the Kremlin-funded propaganda channel, Russia Today – or RT as it now brands itself.

Kremlin funded propaganda channel lol, unlike the impartial FORCED tax payer funded BBC News. What a total plank. He also tries to sucker in SNP supporters with his take on Nicola Sturgeon supporting Theresa May by saying

To her credit, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon recognised last week that the poisoning of a former Russia spy and his daughter in Salisbury is one such case. This is a national security issue affecting the entirety of the United Kingdom and Sturgeon was the stateswoman the moment demanded.

This will have come as a huge relief to those who grow weary with the SNP’s usual tactic of making any and every issue about the failure of the UK.

As Sturgeon stood up for the values we share across these islands, Salmond bent the knee to Moscow, parroting the line that RT was a perfectly legitimate broadcaster and insisting that he was free to say whatever he wanted during his half-hourly programme.

Alex Salmond is being accused here as being a traitor is how I read that, trying to equate the SNP, and I suppose the YES movement, of working against the U.K. security interests. Where does this prick get off.

Another real corker of absolutely piss taking irony is when McColm says,

RT is funded by the Russian State with the twin objectives of peddling the Kremlin line on sundry matters and undermining the positions of western governments. It is not a broadcaster in the style of the BBC but President Vladimir Putin’s personal department of (mis)information.

I take that as meaning , unlike the BBC who try to hide the fact that they are the U.K. state funded propaganda world wide news organisation. At least the Russian openly fund their news channels, in the shitty U.K. we get forced to pay for our state funded propaganda, you just can’t make up this pish being spouted by the likes of McColm and the mainstream news in the U.K. and USA.

According to this clown Among those closest to Sturgeon, anger at Salmond’s continued association with RT is palpable. He is, says one senior nationalist, a “f***ing disgrace”.

If there are senior people within the SNP who think this then they are the ones who are wrong I’m afraid. My own opinion for what’s its worth is that there is no proof at all that the Russian Government has anything to do with what happened in Solisbury.

This whole affair stinks to high heaven for me and Nicola Sturgeon has taken a big risk in supporting the U.K. Tory Government, and right wing nutjob media narrative. No doubt there are those who think she had to to avoid traitor accusations etc but she is taking a big risk.

I think Nicola Sturgeon had better hope that this doesn’t turn out like the Iraq WMD lies we were told as that would do more damage to her career, and the YES movement, than anything Alex Salmond might be accused of doing. It’s really sad to admit that Jeremy Corbyn has played this spot on, he is asking questions and raising the hypocrisy of the Conservative Government and their taking of Russian donations and refusing to hand them back.

There really is something very fishy about this whole affair and I just don’t accept what we are being told at all. Nicola Sturgeon is wrong on this one I suspect. People like McColm look like they want a f war with Russia and are trying to tarnish Alex Salmond and the YES movement with the traitor brush.

Isn’t it also amazing that millions of pounds can be found to investigate this event, it is horrible what has happened to this gentleman and his daughter but it stinks it really does, as much as people like McColm stink the place out.

The kind of stuff you might have written in school, when you were trying hard to sound like an adult, but betraying your yet lack of maturity and judgment.

McColm is an arch yoon as we know but the media rush to judgement is really poor, have they learned nothing from the Iraq lies, of being used by the Tories of all colours. There is definitely something fishy about this whole thing.

This is just base British Nationalism plus an abundant amount of hypocrisy . They learn nothing because they believe themselves to be right all the time . I watched the programme the other night and found nothing wrong at all in the content or how it was presented .

I watched it also and it was fine, it’s just the usual rubbish from the Brit Nats. I must admit I am finding the nonsense from some in the SNP tiresome as well, stop playing the game. When will they learn that they can’t win either way so stick to your politics and stop sitting on the fence as it turns your committed voters off as you come across just the same as the rest. I appreciate I am no political expert and more wrong than right most of the time but I can’t stand the games. Be the independence party, speak your mind and disrupt Westminster as much as you can and if people don’t vote for independence then more fool them and they deserve everything they get.

Nicola framed her answer well, with words to the effect of “Based on the information I have been shown/told by Theresa May and the Government then……” An easy out when the time comes and at simultaneously does not allow the MSM to accuse the Scottish Government or SNP of anything. A neat sidestep.

I do appreciate that and did note it also but by playing by the Brit Nat and Brit Nat media rules I think you run the risk of coming across as all the rest, and also some in the SNP doing the RT News condemnation thing while never calling out the BBC is boring and tiresome. I appreciate I am more along the lines of no patience now with Brit Nats or the Union so I am accept that I am not very politically strategic, totally accept that, but I also know from talking to fellow yessers that while we all acknowledge that the SNP do a very good job overall and we really can’t do without them they have to take care not to alienate the YES camp, a tough balancing act I’m sure but they need to stick to their guns and stop trying to appease the unionist media in particular.

are the millions being spent on the investigation? or the usual collusion between government and the media to smear Russia by conning the gullible English public again seems the poor victims are side lined in the rush to blame Rrussia any reason to distract attention from Brexit and power grab all smoke and mirrors

I just don’t trust the British Nationalist Government or parties in any shape or form. Russia may well be involved, I don’t know if they are not as we have not been presented with any evidence at all that they are, could have been the Russian Mafia, who knows, but I really think we are being fed a line here. It all feels too convenient to say the least and the media in this country as usual just do as they are told from the Brit Nat perspective like McColm who is a plank at the best of times. I appreciate that many think that Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP are playing this correctly but are they. This is a direct smear on Alex Salmond who will be a very important player in the next Indy Ref when it comes, it’s bad enough we have Pete Wishart wanting to play the long game but if they are able to take Alex Salmond out of the picture then they have done a huge dent to the indy debate. It does all stink though if you ask me.
