Anas Sarwar, British Unionist and Scottish Labour MSP and former British Labour MP, is standing for the branch managers job at Scottish Labour. The 600th leader in five years or something or other and you know what, I hope he wins, I really do.
Anas Sarwar is the son of millionaire former Scottish Labour MP Mohammed Sarwar, and actually won his fathers former seat for Westminster in Glasgow Central to become an MP, and it was in Westminster where he made the famous statement above about the Scottish Parliament ” The Parliament is not a democratic place in the conventional sense, it is a dictatorship”. The very place that he couldn’t wait to get to when the voters of Glasgow Central came to their senses and voted the man out but Scottish Labour decided to inflict on us anyway by placing him top of their Glasgow list. You see Anas Sarwar is a liar as has been covered on WoS, and as I noted previously, Anas Sarwar was one of the MSP’s who called for Jeremy Corbyn to stand down.
Scottish Labour have a slogan that says ” For the many not the few “. Anas Sarwar is the type of politician they love, as most of the elected Labour politicians follow their real mantra which is ” For the few, screw the many “. Anas Sarwar is a privately educated millionaire whose children are also privately educated, now there is nothing wrong with making money and sending your kids to private school if that is what you want, but when your words are different from your actions that makes you a liar and a hypocrit doesn’t it. In 2014 Anas Sarwar said this “The reason why we wake up every morning and fight for what we believe in is to create opportunity and fight poverty. , yet in March 2014 Anas Sarwar was one of the 30 Scottish Labour MPs who voted for George Osborne’s Welfare Cap, the man is a plank.
But I hope he wins, I really do, if anyone can finally end Scottish Labour as a political branch office it is Anas Sarwar, lets all hope he wins.

Every time they have had a leadership election since Jack McC resigned in a huff, they’ve gone downhill.
I remember thinking, oh please let it be Iain Gray, he’s hopeless; then I hoped for Johann Lamont. I could hardly believe it when they elected Spud, and then Kez, although to be fair Kez wasn’t really worse than Murphy… NO ONE could be.
So yes, the very rich, inarticulate, bumbling idiot that is Sarwar should more or less put an end to the failing party .

Anas is a liar as was pointed out by WoS over the years. I really hope Scottish Labour chose him as his unionism and hatred of the SNP can be pushed, add in his sense of entitlement and you have the perfect storm and no where for the Cat Boyds of the world to hide and support that shitty party. The man is a clown and I would rather him than some union want to be champagne socialist that Labour are full of.

His idea of political debate in social media is to block the person offering the debate to his often false statements, like mine when I countered his statement about the NHS in Scotland, I stated yes there was room for improvement, this is acknowledged but is true for all of the UK, but figures show it is better performing in Scotland than elsewhere. This got me blocked!
Politics is about debate, blocking, not so much.

That’s what they do. Far too many of them see politics as a career with a sense of entitlement. Sarwar is just another asshole up there with the likes of Swinson, another full of entitlement. I guess we have to hope people see the light and stop voting for these people, they won’t of course because they have always voted red Tory and their ignorance is manna from heaven for the likes of Sarwar the millionaire fake socialist.

He is a clown so I hope he wins as that would be the best choice for the SNP. Rowley I’m glad is not standing, while he talks a lot of rubbish he is methodical and calm, sticks to the script . I have seen the last 2 FMQs and think NS has a harder time with his approach. Sarwar though is everything I despise about Labour, a nasty piece of entitlement rich champagne socialist.
