Gutless Wonders and Pension Troughers

Gutless Wonders and Pension Troughers – Sometimes you just listen to something that makes you both think and get angry and depressed at the same time. The Indy Live Podcast this week did that for me. Called the ‘A Constitutional Conundrum it just summed up where we are right now, it was informative in some ways but nothing I didn’t already know, but it pissed me off no end and got me thinking about the following gutless wonders, pension troughers, and in too many cases closet unionists. I have highlighted the particular, unionist, carrot eaters, mouth pieces, and useless in particular but saying that they are all useless.

Mhairi Black Paisley and Renfrewshire South, Ian Blackford Ross, Skye and Lochaber, Kirsty Blackman Aberdeen North, Steven Bonnar Coatbridge, Chryston and Bellshill, Deidre Brock Edinburgh North and Leith,
Alan Brown Kilmarnock and Loudoun, Amy Callaghan East Dunbartonshire, Lisa Cameron East Kilbride, Strathaven and Lesmahagow, Douglas Chapman Dunfermline and West Fife, Joanna Cherry Edinburgh South West, Ronnie Cowan Inverclyde, Angela Crawley Lanark and Hamilton East, Martyn Day Linlithgow and East Falkirk, Martin Docherty-Hughes West Dunbartonshire, Dave Doogan Angus, Allan Dorans Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock, Marion Fellows Motherwell and Wishaw, Stephen Flynn Aberdeen South, Patricia Gibson North Ayrshire and Arran, Patrick Grady Glasgow North, Peter Grant Glenrothes, Drew Hendry Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey, Stewart Hosie Dundee East, Chris Law Dundee West, David Linden Glasgow East, Stewart McDonald Glasgow South, Stuart McDonald Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and Kirkintilloch East, Anne McLaughlin Glasgow North East , John McNally Falkirk, Angus MacNeil Na h-Eileanan an Iar, Carol Monaghan Glasgow North West, Gavin Newlands Paisley and Renfrewshire North, John Nicolson
Ochil and South Perthshire, Brendan O’Hara Argyll and Bute, Kirsten Oswald East Renfrewshire, Anum Qaisar Airdrie and Shotts, Tommy Sheppard Edinburgh East, Alyn Smith Stirling, Christopher Stephens Glasgow South West, Alison Thewliss Glasgow Central, Richard Thomson Gordon, Owen Thompson Midlothian, Philippa Whitford Central Ayrshire, Pete Wishart North Tayside Perth and North Perthshire.

The highlighted ones are the ones that definitely have nothing but my contempt but all deserve our contempt. These MPs are failures in every way, some 20 years and failures, some just out their depth thick as shit failures, some unionist nutjob failures, some mouth job failures. None have the guts to call things out for being what they actually are like

Westminster is the English Parliament – call it what it is.

Scotland is a COLONY – representation in the English Parliament doesn’t change that no matter what the English Supreme Court says.

There is no voluntary union only colonialism – it’s a prison.

English MPS decide what Scotland is allowed to do – that is not a democracy it is a colony again.

Scotland is not a country if the MPs we send to the English Parliament won’t fight for it.

I have so had enough of those gutless wonders, pension troughers, unionist plants in some cases bought and sold betrayers in others. Listen to the podcast and not get angry, I dare you.

All of them shysters. All of them. Any with a spine would have left for Alba a long time ago. Any with any real ambition for an Independent Scotland would have left a long time ago for Alba.

There will be no place for any of them in an Independent Scotland. There will be no place for any of them in an independent English Westminster either. They will tell us tales of their heroism, but that will be based on their deluded image they have of themselves, believing in their false narrative.

They all deserve to be tarred and feathered and sent to jail for being the treacherous lackeys that they are.

Their collective lack of character shows in their body language. Expert in the curtsy and bowed head.

    They make me sick.

    • Black Rab

I don’t hold out much hope for any of them, to be honest, but I don’t see any ever joining Alba either. They are all failures for me though as they all play the British game to differing degrees when the number one priority should be independence at the very least. I wouldn’t go as far as yourself in tarring them, but they won’t deliver independence, but when or big if it does actually happen then they can play no part in building a new Scotland as they will have done nothing to bring it about.

Sorry don’t agree with you about Joanna Cherry. I don’t think she’s a unionist, a carrot eater, a mouth piece , or useless. She’s one of the ones that almost certainly took a pay cut being she became an MP. I don’t know why she sticks with the SNP but it’s not because she couldn’t hack it in the real world. Be disappointed that’s she’s still SNP by all means but there’s no way she deserves to be highlighted especially alongside some who may well have been the ones that bullied her.

    • PP

Totally respect your opinion as always but for myself, Joanna and Angus are two of the biggest disappointments as they are two who could put real pressure on Sturgeon within the party if they are so determined to remain in it and they don’t. Both say a lot but deliver very little for me as far as indy is concerned, possibly excellent MPs for their voters but for the movement I just don’t put much stock in what they say anymore as it all just feels like playing the game. I may well be way off the base but it is just how I feel about it now, most of them are not fighting for independence as long as they play the British game by British rules, which is all very sad.

I am pretty sure she is their for another reason which is good for us. I am sure.

  3. 100%Yes says:

Every single MSP and MP are doing exactly what Nicola Sturgeon has been doing since she became FM look after themselves. Surgeon knew AS would never go for the idea that Scotland is better off in the Union and that SNP should just continue running Scotland within the UK.

The only trouble for the SNP is Businesses and the public have been voting for the SNP for 2 reasons 1 to get back into the EU and 2 Independence, its going to dawn on the public that the SNP are liars as I believe businesses already know that the SNP are not interested in 1 Independence and 2 EU.

    • 100%YES

I have no faith in any of them and as noted in previous blogs have pretty much given up on independence happening in my lifetime now. I will try and hold the SNP, and the other parties to account as best I can via the blog and contacting them but the standard of politicians we have now is the poorest it has ever been in my lifetime. There are none coming through who stand out and right-wing populism is here for the long hall sadly. When you look at Sunak, Davie, Sturgeon, and Starmer, all liars, and fakes, in it for themselves and nothing more surrounded by people even thicker than them in the main or the ones who are brighter kept out of the loop due to their ego’s and fear. The whole thing is a mess now, Scotland will remain a colony for years to come, maybe forever, might as well just make a law and not have the four nations and disband the devolved parliaments for all they are worth now. If people can’t be bothered in the face of the shit show we have now then give them what they deserve.

try and remember “the darkest hour is before the dawn”
Maybe what we see with ALBA is not the dawn but the dawn wind rising

        • Ben

I want Alba to do well, I don’t see it happening yet but it could come. I would prefer Alex as President of the party and Neil Hanvey or Tasmina as leader as we need to keep moving forward as a movement and as a party. I also believe that without Alba there would not even be a debate in the movement right now, Alba have frightened some in the SNP, while they know Alba won’t take their seats in the short term they ate least know there is an alternative out there now along with ISP, they don’t like it, but either way the SNP will never see another vote from me that is for sure.

  4. Yes Bruce and when you think back to 2025 when we sent 56 of them down to Westminster with great hopes of great things to come , it seems like a fist and dream because, instead of energising the movement , Sturgeon put it into suspended animation by banning all talk of independence
It always sticks in my mind Chris law coming to my office and asking for a rally we had arranged for the week before the GE to be cancelled and re- scheduled to after the GE. His words were “ Stuart Hosie says that we can’t have saltires and Yes sings being waved around the City square the week before the general election “ yes that was his words.

    • Bob

I can’t think of one single thing Chris Law has done for Dundee West or Dundee. I get up dates when he asks a question and it’s always his international role, rarely in recent years has he asked anything about Dundee that I am aware of, never liked Stewart Hosie even though we share a surname. Both of them need to be gone, Dundee needs proper politicians that will fight for it not the 4 waste of spaces we have in both parliaments right now. I am at the point where I would rather see yoons that will work for Dundee than those pension grabbers because that is sadly what they come across like. Not surprised about the rally, they are ashamed of independence because they don’t really want it.

Cherry, Monaghan, MacNeill, McNally, Ronnie Cowan, would escape the bold type. Grant and Chapman would be on probation. The rest would be deepest bold.

    • GM

I just don’t have faith in any of them anymore, if they really believe what they spout they would have outed the likes of Sturgeon, Wishart, Hosie, Robertson a long time ago. Independence should come before everything else politically, the sad reality is that it doesn’t, the longer they play by English rules in the English Parliament we can’t win, we can’t even get a proper debate. It is an all too predictable and depressing situation that has been going on now for too many years.

      • GM says:

You have a good point. Sturgeon wasn’t been an independence supporter in a long time. Sociopathic government is what we get from the FM, The honest ones know this but they stay quiet. Why? Have you any idea why? Do they not want the reality to be widely known for fear of hurting the cause and playing a waiting game until the lunatic leaves office? Are they frightened of Sturgeon and her Brit pals running the Crown Office and the polis? Any ideas why a rebellion hasn’t taken place?

        • GM

I think sadly that for far too many of the elected SNP politics is a career and not a vocation, they appear more interested in the trappings, the money, the pension, the sense of importance, rather than the point they were elected for, to deliver an opportunity for Scotland to vote on it’s independence. I suspect that like the nastiness in Labour they also know that if they don’t dance to Sturgeon’s tune then de-selection comes around and bye bye all the trappings of their failure.

  6. Gordon Currie says:

You can embolden Deidre Brock’s name in that list I’ve contacted her numerous times and the only reply I got was that she didn’t recognise my assertions and that NS was one of her best friends.

    A complete Aussie ersewipe

    • Gordon

They are all pretty much talentless hangers on. Sturgeon is a total failure in everything she has done, surrounded herself with sheep to make up for her own deficiencies as a politician and a person. The sooner she is gone the better and given that indy is pretty much dead in the water now I would not be surprised if the yoons got back in power in Scotland. The uselessness of the SNP and Scots ability to eat shit never surprises me anymore.

  7. GM says:

There are a good few slipping info out to pro independence bloggers, S Campbell, I Lawon and C Murray. Why aren’t they going public?

    • GM

Maybe they did a little more in the past but I am not so sure they do now but certainly sometimes leaks come from the NEC/branches that make for a story but I’ll be honest it won’t ever be enough for me. We just don’t have the time to sit around playing their games, that was what Scottish Labour did for 70 years, we don’t have 70 years. Unless they start to seriously do what they were elected to do then all they will have is my contempt, maybe even more contempt than they have right now if that is at all possible.
