Slipping under the radar – I only just saw this story today and thought this one has slipped under the radar. Evolve Politics are reporting that –
A number of Sir Keir Starmer’s advisors have admitted that the Labour Party is now on the verge of bankruptcy.
Since Starmer replaced Jeremy Corbyn as leader in April 2020, Labour’s revenue streams have dried up and the party’s finances have been plunged into chaos.
The Labour Party have lost 100,000 members since Starmer became leader and some Trade Unions have now either withdrawn funding or reduced funding to the Party due to Starmer’s lurch to the right after breaking virtually every pledge he made to become leader. One of Starmer advisors even admitted that the prospect of declaring bankruptcy was now being actively considered – stating:
“There would be some advantages to declaring bankruptcy. You could start a new organisation with a new membership.”
I’ll tell you I would not lose any sleep if Labour went bankrupt, in fact I would welcome it, one less Tory Party is all fine by me that’s for sure.
What the F – How corrupt is this country going to get? Happy to chase poor people who broke Covid rules, happy to cut the starvation levels of social security in this so called union, happy to enrich their friends with contracts that were deemed unlawful by the high court and now the Tories plan on writing off £4.3 BILLION POUNDS and I wonder who got those contracts, would love to find out. Even if someone makes a complaint we also know that the Met Police don’t investigate the Tory Party on anything, state Police in every way.
A Conservative minister in the House of Lords has resigned attacking the government’s handling of fraudulent Covid business loans.
Lord Agnew accused the Treasury of having “little interest in the consequences of fraud to our society”. Well they do, but only if it is poor people who can’t defend themselves.
Putin Quaking It – NOT – Boris Johnson has reportedly said “We also need to get a message that invading Ukraine, from a Russian perspective, is going to be a painful, violent and bloody business”. Johnson went on to say that “I’ve got to tell you that I think the intelligence is pretty gloomy at this point. “There is certainly a very, very large array of Russian forces and we have to take the necessary steps. The UK can do nothing, it can send it’s big ship that has no planes and to do what. Johnson will do what Biden tells him and America has just announced that it will place troops on a high state of alert for deployment to Europe. War is good for big business, it’s good for unemployment, it’s good for failing economies, and we all know the USA like a good war and the UK likes to think it is important, the lunatics are running our countries now. The thing is Putin won’t be giving a crap will he, the man is a nut job.
On 4 July 2018, the House of Commons officially endorsed the principles of the Claim of Right, agreeing that the people of Scotland are sovereign and that they have the right to determine the best form of government for Scotland’s needs – This whole discussion grates on me when people talk about the Scottish Claim of Right of 1989 – is that the people, not parliament, have the final word. There should be fundamental rules, covering the principles and institutions of government and the rights of citizens, that “we the people” make, and by which elected representatives are bound.
It’s all bullshit if you don’t, won’t, or can’t use it. Blah Blah Blackford in the debate in Westminster in 2018 said “The Claim of Right acknowledges the sovereign right of the Scottish people to determine the form of government best suited to their needs and the obligation on elected representatives that in all our actions and deliberations, the interests of the people of Scotland shall be paramount”. Whatever happened to that then because nothing has happened to ensure that the called sovereignty of the Scottish people is respected, it’s all crap. If we want to restore our sovereignty we will have to take it back, no one is going to give it and the SNP show no urgency to restore it. I wish people would just stop talking about it, we don’t have the balls to do something about it.

I totally agree, it’s socialism for the rich and neo liberalism for the poor. All the debt is passed onto to the poor while the wealthy piss on us and laugh at us as they get richer and richer while the illiterate in England keep voting for those pricks, excuse the language but like you it makes my blood boil how thick as shit too many in the UK and esp Scotland are. Again the labour party like the SNP has been infiltratrated and taken over to ensure the elites can rule us buisness as usual. The choice is tweedledee or twedelldum the two horse race.
In Scotland we spoilt that for a time with the SNP but now the elites have got to grips with this taken over the SNP leadership , the same way they have with labour. Incidently this is why the MSM hate and fear Salmond and Alba its not part of the UK, Ok game, but am sure there working on it . The people in England must wake up and evolve their political parties and strategy accordingly and be mindful of this tactic .The SNP like labour are finnished we the people are on to their game . Corbyn was the last hope for labour in England they are finnished now. Strugeon is as much a stougge as Starmer for the British elite , she has become the lovee of the guardian and vogue. That says it all for me.
The other big game currenly being played is the threat of War in the Ukraine is not going to happen, Putin and the Oligarchs hide their dark money in the UK in off shore tax havens they bankrolled Brexit and Torys to enable this and now own half of London. This is distraction politics smoking mirrors in reality there all pals closely interlinked a mafia cartel.
Scotland has now a majority for independence but ironically has no party to push us over the line.
The MSPs and MPs must circumvent Sturgeons Unionists game if they can’t get rid of her they must defect and come over to Alba, we the people must now switch our vote to Alba . We can need a party that will assert our sovereignty and Disolve the Union the current SNP will never do this.
Alba must think of standing candidates against the SNP for a plebiscite election.

They get comfy and the former Labour members who went to the SNP have worked their way up the greasy poll and man have they destroyed the party. Are they plants, who knows but the system is rigged. Labour won’t abandon FPTP and it’s the only way the Tories can win. The SNP have a monopoly just now but hopefully Alba can challenge that as time goes on but it will take time given the hate and hostility they will face at least this year but Alba are here to stay if they can get through the next year.

Elected politicians are there to SERVE the people who have voted for them… Politicians are both servants and – occasionally – respectable advisers?
Bear in mind that Scotland’s Royalty gave up its supreme power and/or authority; thereafter, the nation’s population are actually sovereign people!
By comparison, England’s parliament is recognised as being a Sovereign Parliament… The supposed UK presently has a Royal Queen (Figurehead?), and thereby lies an entirely different story, which is beyond my understanding; so I’ll simply close with a small poem…

How many politicians serve now? I would say not too many. The whole sovereignty thing only works if it is fact used and right now in Scotland it is meaningless as far as I am concerned, hollow and full of crap. A nice word for the sheeple and the likes of Blackford to throw around but they don’t even know the meaning of the word.

Yes, Bruce, and I posted that piece in a ‘tongue in cheek’
style – your words are absolutely correct; ‘How many politicians serve now?’ should only be a rhetorical question instead of a real one, that it is! You’re being too generous when you say that “not too many serve.”
It IS meaningless to talk of ‘the whole sovereignty thing’ without it sounding like more of the Scottish Governments “Blah, Blah, Blah”… I’m sure that the British Nationalists love showing the ineptitude in Hollyrood! The ‘British State’ saw its empire withering away – NONE of these nations ever regretted the ending of The British Empire – there’s only the one last nation to regain its independence: Scotland!
Bye the way, after being a member of the SNP since my youth, I left it and I fully understand your antipathy regarding the likes of Blackford and his ilk; the less I say about the ‘new SNP’ the better, and I’m aware that there’s a gradual movement away from being unquestioning followers of what had previously been a meritorious political party; so, here’s hoping for Scotland’s future,

Thanks, yeah you have to wonder how long it is going to take for people to wake up but I also get that colonialism is hard to shake off and when you read Tom Devine you understand that we were sold, colonised, and brides with greed thrown in. That is how the English demented there union which has more to do with defence than anything else. I know a few SNP members whose patience is running out now, they don’t like what they read in the new media but they are grudgingly starting to accept it, it’s funny I’m some ways as they would never accept anything that Wings said but are being turned by the Prism. Interesting.
