Getting the Boke

If there are two things that I really cannot stand right now it is all of the Team GB rubbish every time the Olympics is on and Ian Murray Labour MP for Edinburgh. Allegedly Nicola Sturgeon and other senior Scottish nationalists have been criticised for failing to publicly support Team GB’s Olympians or offer congratulations to English athletes. Obviously this gives Murray the ideal opportunity to show his true Tory credentials to all when he comes out with his usual absolute garbage,

“The whole country is getting behind Team GB and our Olympians who have had such a fantastic start to the games, but the silence from senior SNP politicians is deafening – even when Scottish GB athletes are making us all proud. “The ethos of the Olympics – unity and working together as a team – goes against everything the SNP stands for, so it’s perhaps no surprise they can’t bring themselves to get behind our amazing athletes.”

Scotland (Trapped) in Union leader Pamela Nash was at it as well when she said “Being part of the UK means we are part of something bigger and can share in Team GB’s success as we soar up the medals table”. If the unionists are so stressed out why is not called Team UK? These people are just not self-aware at all are they. Everyone in the country is behind the team, I could not give a crap personally about the Olympics even if Scotland has a team in them and don’t know that many people who do to be honest.

Sport is a good thing overall, no one disputes that, but this idea that you must support Team GB is a nonsense, did Boris Johnson have giant Scotland and Wales flags outside Downing Street if we want to be pedantic during the Euro’s this summer, no he was very much supporting England and I have no problem with that as he is English, I supported Scotland at the Euro’s because I am Scottish.

This is also the Union Jackery we have been getting shoved down our throats in Scotland for years now. I even saw British Carrots the other day, wrapped in all the jackery you could find, there was a problem though, they were a produce from Spain. You just can’t make this shit up anymore can you. Are people like Murray and Nash that insecure and embarrassed to just be Scottish now and then, their whole Team GB / UK bullshit is desperation of the worst kind.

These people don’t speak for me, personally I could not care less about the Olympics. if the athletes do well, good for them, but I am not going to be forced to support Team GB and have it implied I am some sort of racist if I don’t, the other point is it is not even about supporting the athletes for Murray and Nash, it is about them promoting their British Nationalism for all to see and having a go at Scottish people at the same time for not being filled with the same British Union Jackery Nationalism that many people I suspect do find very disgusting. Even the Simpsons TV cartoon had a go at this bullshit not that long ago when they parodied Walkers Shortbread:

I think we should send Ian Murray a tin of Wankers Shortbread each time “Team GB” win a medal – it would coordinate neatly with his suit of choice.

Exactly my sentiments. I haven’t watched the Olympics for years. The cost and the trying to outdo each other with the opening ceremony, how much better use this cost could be put to. As for the butcher’s apron, sick to the eye teeth with it.

I don’t watch it other than what I see by accident but the whole Team GB nonsense just gets on my nerves to be honest, getting told what to support, what to think. They can shove it.

To be honest, if I hadn’t seen a headline online when my search engine opened up, I wouldn’t even have known that the olympics had started (I don’t have a TV and don’t read so called “newsppers”. I knew they were going to happen – but only because of the disgusting issue of that Hubbard man stealing a woman’s place on a team. I have zero interest in any sport and never “get behnd” anything or anyone to do with sporting activities. If I did, I’d be totally put off by all the GB crap and union jackery.
I have a condition called misophonia which means that I react in an extreme and often emotional way to certain trigger sounds. I have the same reaction when I see a butcher’s apron and I’m sure there are many others who feel the same – and not just in Scotland.

I like the football but mainly Dundee FC rather than the whole national team thing, I’ll watch it but I am never that bothered with the result but genuinely want DFC to do well. The Olympics I just find it all a bit boring to be honest and wrapping it in a union jack and getting told I’m not patriotic if I don’t wish them all the best is fine with me, I can live with it.

Boris was born in America was he not ? He’s a plastic English man. Definitely gie you the boke, l couldn’t care less either because if the lose then they will be Scottish , if they win then they are British, same old Union chap.

I have no idea where Johnson was born to be honest, he will jump on any bandwagon and people like Murray just make me sick, totally brainwashed and an embarrassment to Scotland if you ask me.

Crap, that should have said lol

The Saltire is my nations flag, I see the Union Jack as a political symbol of oppression in the same way I view the Swastika and feel no desire to support anyone performing under it even if they’re Scottish
