So I watched an hour of the news last night wondering if the biggest independence march ever seen in Scotland would be covered.
I’m sure you know what’s coming. There was a story about the so called diplomatic row between the USA and the U.K. due to the fleeing of a diplomats wife who knocked down and killed a young man. We know that the U.K. are just going through the motions because they can’t and won’t do anything.
There was a story about an Australian girl and her boyfriend being released in Iran, this was a story because her parents or something are English.
There was a little Windsor at a football match.
There was more scenes of rioting young people in Hong Kong, ironically rioting for a semblance of democracy.
There was a story about Brexit and how nasty the Europeans are.
I then got a review of papers from England, by two journalists who write for the papers, so they get to tell me twice what I should think.
What I didn’t get from an hour of so called News 24 was any mention of the AUOB march where as many as 200,000 people took part in a march for the return of Scottish Democracy. The BBC are a part of the unionist state and are guilty of propaganda warfare and brainwashing in Scotland. I know nothing will get done and even if every single person in Scotland refused to pay the tv tax nothing would change, their so called journalists have no shame and the organisation is corrupt.
What ever happened to the SNP fact finding service, why aren’t there at least social media statements from the SNP condemning the BBC and their lack of coverage, we cannot and we will not win if we play by British rules and continue to sit on our hands and let this go without comment.

Anonymous- yes they did mention it in Scotland, but Bruce is not wrong, he is absolutely right that there was NO coverage in the main BBC news and NO mention on the main page of the BBC news website, only the Scottish page. That is scandalous. If 200,000 people marched anywhere in England about anything, there would be massive coverage, in Scotland as well.
This is a scandalous deliberate editorial decision designed to back up the lies of he UK state to the majority of its people that there is no demand for independence in Scotland. The BBC is a propaganda tool of the U.K. deep state – that’s a simple fact.
No it isn’t. It’s not UK wide news.
Of course it should be news throughout the UK – any demonstration of that size anywhere in the UK should be reported fully, and would be if it was in England. If you are a unionist, and you certainly appear to be, that should be self evident. We in Scotland would certainly hear about a huge march in Birmingham – why is Birmingham not hearing about a huge March in Edinburgh? Your corrosive bias shows clearly. I’d be very pleased to have a separate Scottish media alongside an independent Scotland, but we don’t yet, so the UK broadcaster should be covering the UK to the UK……What’s not to understand in that?

do not accuse me of “corrosive bias”, I happen to support YES and am a YES voter as Bruce will confirm to you. I am commenting anon as I need to for some things I do in life but he knows who I am.
I do not consider a Scottish matter only to be UK wide news. I want that lot to keep their oar out.
Above all, I do not consider marches AT ALL to be newsworthy, they are over done now and of little affect.
It does appear to have been covered in a lot of other parts of the world. The point being the BBC is a propaganda Pravda worse than anything in the world. I heard on the radio that a polish lady living in Scotland said the media in Poland during communist rule were more honest. Says it all.

The march was covered by the German and Dutch media. Probably in other places too. The SNP and others criticized them last time out for ignoring the march in Perth. I expect that is part of the reason why it gets a mention on the BBC website and isn’t ignored entirely. They don’t want it to catch on and spread so they limit the coverage when they feel they can’t ignore it. I am perfectly content with the description of this weasel organisation in this article.

If nobody paid the licence fee in Scotland the “service” would still continue. It’s there for propaganda purposes rather than news or entertainment reasons.

You’re probably correct they would keep some form of it going either way but it would certainly reduce their income which wouldn’t be a bad thing as they shouldn’t be competing against their commercial rivals anyway.

Thre was an ‘interview’ with the lady who runs AOB and some other guy on BBC ‘Scotland’ yesterday morning. It gave the beeb clown the opportunity to rubbish the event in every way possible, suggesting that 11000 marchers was nearer the mark than 200000. He didn’t get much change out of the lady who didn’t rise to any of the bait. Right at the end she was asked if she thought these marches really made any difference. Her great reply was ‘Well, I’m here talking to you.’

I wasn’t expecting much but did expect that at least some of the march would make news 24 but to no avail. Good on the AUOB lady, they always play it down don’t they. 11000, don’t they get that going that low just makes them look stupid and incompetent but I suppose they don’t care all that much at all.
