The Mans a Tube

Richard Leonard, Manager of Scottish Labour, and the man partly responsible for selling out female Glasgow council workers when in the GMB if reports are true is having a Gordon Brown.

According to Leonard people are increasingly hostile to an Indy2, he must have been talking to the Tories, and the other Tories in the Labour Party membership.

Leonard also thinks that securing a debate on mental health is a major shift in Scottish Politics while asking for a wealth tax breaks new ground. A wealth tax has been something bloggers have been talking about for years and wasn’t it SSP policy for years as well. Leonard believes in regards to independence:

“Given the extent to which we are in a highly integrated level of monetary, economic, social and political union with the rest of the UK, I think the challenges would be huge.”

That would only be the case if rUK decides to throw the dummy out of the pram, given how desperate they would be for any money to stop going bankrupt a deal would be done, oh just like the Brexit one.

Leonard and Labour really are a joke, not even a funny one and he even thinks they can win a general election, save me. England are not going to elect Labour and they rely on Tory votes in Scotland just to keep what little they have. A party whose day is past.

Whilst I agree that Scottish ‘Labour’ are well past their sell-by date and really have nothing to offer that the SNP and others can’t do better … with all that said and done, what alternative do the puir Inglis have other than Lab in some shape or form? If, as you seem to suggest, Lab really are unelectable doon sooth, then there really is no hope our Union partner. Should we be planning for a post-Indy flood of refugees then?

FPTP makes it really difficult for them. The Tories control the marginals and the brexiters in the north are no longer Labour so I just can’t see how they win without Scotland and Wales and they won’t do much in either. I just see them as really poor now. Corbyn is all over the place and while they talk the left game they don’t deliver and people haven’t forgotten yet. I just don’t think the English will elect them and we know we get what England wants. Independence is the only way now if we can convince some Britnats and Nicola Sturgeon to make the move.

I trust Nicola to know just when the time is right, although it’s one hell of a call to have to make. So please, the last thing she needs is doubting from her ain folk 😉

I don’t envy her and as I’m not a member I don’t have a say but she will come under increasing pressure. I do think she is more about process than Salmond was, she has always been in politics so that is what she is used to but I do think it will be risky for the SNP if they delay too long. There have always been doubts by many I know who are members, not about her belief in independence but the way to get it. The things being blogged about it are about the process and following Westminster’s rules, playing that game and there won’t be an indy2 and yes will move on to a party that will have a harder line but I don’t definitely don’t envy the decision for when.

    THIS PLONKER LENNY
HAS THE CHEEK TO THINK HE IS BETTER THAN ANY SCOTS POLITICIAN
HE KNOWS VERY VERY LITTLE ABOUT SCOTTISH HISTORY AND CHARACTER
    AND THATVWILL NEVER CHANGE
AS HE TALKS AND DOES NOT LISTEN
FUNNY THATS WHAT LABOUR SAID MANY MANY ELECTIONS AGO
WE MUST GO BACK TO THE PEOPLE AND LISTEN TO WHAT THEY SAY
    THEN WE GET INTO OFFICE
COMPETLY DO WHAT WE WANT ENDING IN TOTAL MELTDOWN
AND THEY STILL DRAG OUT THE OLD BROON FOSSIL TO SPEW HIS IDEOLIGY

I don’t know all that much about his history but I know he is awful and out his depth. They are spouting the same crap they always have as you say and don’t realise that at least 45% of Scotland has moved on. They are a busted flush and I just can’t see them winning down south when push comes to shove.

Why do you call Leonard a tube? Whether a tube is a cylindrical container or a transport system, it is, at least potentially, useful.

Fair point, I never thought anyone could be worse than Dugdale but there you go. The man really is useless, how do these people even get elected in the first place is beyond me.
