the state of being a victim.
“the society nurtures a sense of victimhood”
It’s been around for a long time but now everyone is a victim, especially the unionists. As has been blogged by Munquin’s New Republic and Wings Over Scotland Ruth ‘ Colonel Tankstraddler ‘ Davidson has been caught in a disgusting lie and slight on the YES movement by implication in how she tweeted about a gentleman and his dug asking her questions.
She is not the only one as we know. Jakey Rowling claimed to have been a victim during the Indy ref in 2014.
Then of course there were the famous non events of Jim Murphy and Eddie Izzard which were plastered all over the place.
Michelle Moon, Baroness of Knickers, is good at pulling out the victim card or getting others to do it for her.
Certain unionists now appear to have the victim mentality pretty much all of the time, the personality trait in which a person tends to recognize themselves as a victim of the negative actions of others, and to behave as if this were the case in the face of contrary evidence of such circumstances. Of course we know that the sad excuse we have for a media will go full yoon at the slightest opportunity,
but only when it suits them as we also know. Where was the outrage when SNP politicians are subject to what can actually be described as pretty horrifying abuse, no where is pretty much it.
There has been a little coverage of the abuse that SNP MPs have received in the media but it is never front page news and always comes with a kind of justification in the articles by highlighting abuse received by unionists also, trying to normalise it of course unless it is Nationalists being accused of giving out the abuse.
As I have said previously abuse to anyone on social media is never right, sarcasm and cheekiness, generalisation when it comes to political parties fine with me, but not abuse. However, people like Ruth Davidson are claiming it all the time now when challenged as a way to shut down the debate, they have an inability to deal with disagreement, criticism and controversial topics so resort to victimhood. It is getting to the point where a person can’t say anything to anyone at anytime, and in the independence debate the unionists know this will work. They have done the shouting, the lying, the screaming, and the threatening, now all they have left is look at poor me.
It’s bad enough that we have a piss poor print media in Scotland that is controlled by unionists, but now that people have seen the media for what they are the likes of Davidson just want to shut down debate, it’s a bad sign for the future but it might also show they are losing the argument.
