Something Different: Going Naked

Anyone who has had the misfortune to read this blog over the years will know that smartphones and me have a chequered history of breakage.

I had a problem with my car the other day, it broke down and needs a new clutch actuator and as it's a Smart Car it will cost a small fortune to repair. Anyway while I was waiting for the AA it was really hot so I sat outside the car but left my phone in the car in direct sunlight, result goosed Samsung phone. So I am back on my temperamental IPhone that I don't like.

So I got the phone all set up again and updated and put the case on and realised how much I don't like having a case on my phone. Now as we all know smartphones, decent ones, are very expensive and break easy like everything seems to these days.

So I decided I am going to go naked and it feels good. No screen cover, no case, just a small compact little temperamental expensive phone that I will try and not drop but will at some point so will be hoping for the best.

They don't say you become a rebel in your old age for nothing you know.

No doubt I will drop it at some point and wham. I just hate big phones, and with a case on it always feel too big, and since I am back on my old iPhone I just thought what the hell. Who knows it might make me more careful. The iPhone hasn’t been right since I dropped it months ago and had to get a new screen. On top of my very expensive Smart Car repair there is no way I am buying a new phone, the joys of modern life.

I hate big phones but like a good smartphone as I can do most of what I need on them. I got the iPhone as I wanted something that would last until I broke it and it hasn’t been the same since. I bought a Smart Car as I really didnt want a petrol guzzler but repairs are unreal as I am finding out. I love the iPhone but not getting another one, love the Smart Car but will never get another one once the one I have is finished lol the joys. So the phone will stay naked until it dies lol.

You are not ancient enough Bruce. Now as someone who seldom needs a phone, I borrow Husband’s and am happy when I manage to get it to work. Husband got fed up with the sniggers at his phone that he bought a newer smarter one, but I think yours are smarter.

To be honest I always end up breaking them. They are so brittle and it amazes me how good they are consider in the 80s your phone was your bike. The iPhone I have is very temperamental since I had to get it fixed and I only went back to it as my Samsung got fried in the car when it broke down last week. But I hate big phones so not using the case etc. It might get me to be more careful.
